Wayne Houchin Lecture to bring in the New Year!

We are thrilled to announce that the very creative and inspiring magician Wayne Houchin will be lecturing here at Tannen's on Wednesday, January 19th, 2011. The lecture will start at 7:00p, doors will open at 6:45p, buy your tickets now!

New Renovations!

We're VERY excited about our new paint job here at the store. The walls are a deep burgundy and the ceiling is the color of the night sky. It's still a work in progress, new lighting is on its way and we're going to detail stars along the ceiling and a gold leaf pattern inlaid along the walls.

If you have not visited Tannen's lately you will be in for a treat. The store is now more magical than ever - colorwise that is. The Tannen's guys have been hard at work putting a new face on their ever so stocked showroom. The beautiful newly painted digs will make you feel transplanted in a truly magical way.

Tannen's Lecture Series Presents Andrew Mayne!

You don't want to miss this! On Tuesday, December 14th at 7:00, the creative mind of Andrew Mayne will be coming to Tannen's to lecture. Tickets are $20, the earlier you buy a ticket the better seat you'll have!

Polaris Memorial Service

Carl Mellish otherwise known as Polaris, a fantastic New York City magician and great friend to Tannen's Magic, sadly passed away last week. Polaris was a kind and gentle soul, we will miss him very much. Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones. The funeral service will be held this Sunday, November 21st, at 10:30 AM, please contact us at the store if you'd like the address for the service.

Tannen's Magicians thanked for Houdini Performances

Tannen's store magicians were thanked by the Jewish Museum for their performances at the new Houdini: Art and Magic exhibit.

Adam Blumenthal, Rich Kameda, Jared Molten, Ben Nemzer and Michael Patrick all performed at the exhibit and were mentioned on the exhibit's homepage next to names like David Blaine and Steve Cohen!

Don't miss Adam's and Rich's performances this Thursday night at the museum from 6pm to 8pm.

Time to Play Dead

From the twisted minds' of Todd Robbins and Teller, Play Dead, is entering its final week of previews before opening to the New York City public on Friday night.

The show is quite a fright fest, by using magic and theatrics Todd will scare you right out of your seat. Join Todd on this diabolical journey as he invites Death out to play.
