Myron the Magnificent and the Lovely Vera stopped by Tannen’s to pick up supplies for their show Myronic! which starts on August 11th as part of The New York International Fringe Festival.
Myron and Vera perform a wide range of amazing magic drawn from the repertoire of Myron’s grandfather, the legendary Mervyn the Magnificent (Vaudeville’s Yiddish Man of Magic) and his father, Marvin the Magnificent. The duo recently returned from Las Vegas after an unfortunate incident with their Flaming-Double-Sword-Vivisection.
“We’ve been performing that trick for decades,” said Myron. “Then you singe one audience member and you’re out of a theatre.”Myronic! will be appearing at the Players Theatre for five performances during the NYC Fringe Festival. Saturday, August 11, 7:45 p.m.; Sunday, August 12, 5 p.m.; Wednesday, August 15, 9:30 p.m.; Tuesday, August 21, 7 p.m.; Sunday, August 26, noon. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door.
